More general finds this week - working methodically through the site's animal bone, including horse and dog.

A new location for us today, a little warmer ! repacking the animal bones found at MSL 87. The repacking raised the question as to whether fhe animal bones were from the Roman occupation of the cemetery site - Adam seemed to think they were - we then questioned as to what horse/cattle bones were doing there - large offerings to see the Romans on their way - or some other reason ? Any suggestions please let us know. Another good afternoon.
We are disappointed that Adam will not be with us again next week - is it something we have done! We will miss him but realise he needs a well deserved break - enjoy. We look forward to our time with Cath next week. |
